Exceeded high expectations
Our three generation group of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is open, airy and very comfortable. It has many interesting features, principally pool with swim up bar, grotto hot tub, beautiful western facing views and sunsets, interesting shower/bathing options. The house is very well stocked with everything you’ll need. Very pleasant manager met us on arrival to show us the house and answer questions. Concierge facilitated a super chef/server team to come in a couple evenings..We found paying for access to the Mauna Kea resort facilities to be worthwhile as it has perhaps the finest resort beach we have ever visited. We also enjoyed some of the low key nearby spots off campus. We are grateful to all who assisted our stay.

Hawaiian island stay
Beautiful home with an incredible pool with waterfall. House is very well furnished and the kitchen has every possible dish, appliance or tool. Incredible ocean views. Access to the two nearby hotel properties makes for a nice break for the kids. Both of the nearby golf courses are great layouts and views. The gardener and the cleaning folks were very nice and responsive, as was the concierge team. The house has extensive stone floors and stairs and lots of open water areas (ponds and waterways). Not ideal for the very young or very old, but was perfect for us. We would stay here again for sure

Amazing Property at a Lovely location!
The owners have maximized the natural beauty of the location through the flow of space and air. The description on this website is very fair on all aspects of the property. The facilities of the property have been upgraded and integrated meticulously, such that we do not feel this is a 20+ year construction. The entire team has been very responsive, thoughtful and helpful.

A stunning property to call home
We were a big group, spanning three generations. This home was perfect for our extended family. Away from the action of the nearby hotel, we were able to use the hotel beach and facilities daily. Our bedrooms had lovely sheets and amenities that made each of us comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with ample dishes, glasses, pots and pans. In addition to the kitchen equipment, there was a smaller anti-room filled with more dishes that were for different uses. This home accommodates 10 people comfortably without feeling tight. You'll enjoy stunning sunsets from the outdoor living room and possibly see a whale or two breaching the ocean. We were very pleased with our stay in this beautiful home

Fantastic spot for your dream vacation!
The house was beautiful and the property manager, Mark, provided excellent service! This really is a top-notch home for indulgent stays. The home is beautiful and in excellent condition. It has wonderful open spaces and a pool that kids and adults will love. It is very private but the amenities of the Mauna Kea Resort are only a short walk away. Beautiful views of the ocean and the volcanoes are available from almost anywhere in the house. Very open floor plan which is perfect for Hawaii especially in the "cooler months." Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation here. Plenty of community space but also the privacy you sometimes need with family. We would highly recommend this home and Mark and his team to anyone looking for a great big island vacation.

Fairytale in Paradise!
Our family LOVED this amazing property. My daughter kept calling it a castle, and the rest of us felt like that too - it was truly a fairytale week for us in Hawaii. The kids adored the pool and jumped right into it as soon as we arrived. The adults thoroughly enjoyed it also - though the hot tub was my personal favorite. We all had plenty of privacy in our separate suites, and the common area was perfect for together time. Interior design was gorgeous and the views were sensational. We've stayed in a lot of vacation homes, and this one-of-a-kind property is officially at the top of our list. We're planning our next trip soon!

Mauna Kea's Best
Our family has had the pleasure of staying at Hale Pau Hana on many occasions over the past several years and our stays are always too short. This exquisite property is private and a short walk to the Mauna Kea Beach. Wonderful ocean views. The entire main living space opens to the outdoors to allow you to experience the warm Hawaiian breezes, songbirds and flora. This home is professionally designed and decorated with tasteful, fun fabrics and furniture. The home is perfect for entertaining small and larger groups with a well appointed kitchen, swim up tiki bar and a caterer's dream of amenities including specialty dish ware, serving items and linens. The home is meticulously maintained and we absolutely give Hale Pau Hana 5 stars.
